I had a great experience with Okapi Appliance Repair. I called for an appointment when my refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling and Ngandu came by the next morning. He assessed the problem but only had one of the two parts on hand. After changing the part he had, he asked that I monitor the refrigerator. If the first part didn’t completely fix the problem, he would order the second part and come back to install without an additional labor charge. We ended up needing the second part, but it was just as easy to set up a return visit and the process could not have gone smoother. I would highly recommend Okapi Appliance Repair.

He’s super friendly, no-nonsense and exactly the sort of help I needed after unsuccessfully dealing with big-box stores that have terrible customer service. Ngandu was very knowledgeable in this profession. He was very professional and courteous and very flexible. People need to understand that he is the business and the technician the goes on site to do repairs and sometimes repairs do not fare well once the work has started and could potentially delay the next site appointment. My wife and are happy hew was able to save us hundreds of dollars just to replace our clothes dryer by simply doing his magic on it. Highly recommended.

Ngandu was terrific – he fixed the dryer right away. I called and within 30 minutes he was at the door; 30 minutes later the dryer was heating again (it tumbled but there was no heat). He had to replace the fuse that enabled the dryer to heat, and since it was same day service the service fee went from $50 to $75, but it was totally worth it. This was the best $200 I’ve ever spent! He doesn’t take credit card, but he does take cash, check, and PayPal. I will definitely call him again if I need to (but hopefully not for awhile!).

He knows what he’s doing and I would definitely recommend him to anyone with appliance problems.
